Buy this from Beamdog if you want it
The combination of playing on a MAC and the apple store version of this will make it more difficult than necessary to do things that should be easy (import characters from bg1 to bg2, utilize an editiing program). This version saves in the sandbox rather than the normal directory, and you can work around it, but it is difficult to find out how to do this because most people are not using this version. It will save you a lot of hassle to just buy the beam dog version.
Otherwise, the game is mostly good. The new characters are buggy and I had to refer back to the forums to figure out how to end eternal conversation loops with them. It kind of hurts my enjoyment of the game when I have to spend so much time outside the BG2EE app just to rewire the essentials back together to play the game.
